List building is still one of the core strategies I focus on in every business that I have owned. If you want to do business in the on-line world, your list becomes EVERYTHING... Yes, it true that you can get started and do quite well with a small list of 50 subscribers, but one of your business goals should be to grow your list with people that are interested in your product/service. Having a list of people that are not really interested in what you're selling it not worth anything. So make sure to have an opt-in that offers something that creates excitement among your tribe. Remember the RIGHT email list could be worth THOUSANDS and more than likely one of your BIGGEST business asset.
